Construction industry professionals will be able to gain technical insight into the fire engineering solutions.
that will help them comply with building regulations at a forthcoming CPD seminarheld by FDS Consult UK and NHBC.
The event is open to Architects, Consultants and Developers and will discuss the benefits of applying fire engineering to assist in realising architectural ambitions and reduce costs without compromising safety. The application of fire engineering to residential, mixed-use and commercial buildings will be discussed specifically with case study examples, and the organisers will be inviting delegates to submit questions prior to the event for discussion.
Comments FDS Consult UK’s managing director, Andy Riley: “We’d had plenty of feedback from architects saying that they would like more technical knowledge of fire specification to assist in complying with regulations whilst achieving creative designs, maximising space and minimising costs. This has prompted us to put together the seminar and are extremely pleased to have the full support and attendance of NHBC”.
Diane Marshall, NHBC’s Group Head of Building Control said: “We are delighted to support this seminar. Fire safety should be at the forefront in any design, and advances in fire engineering techniques mean that it is essential for the industry to keep up to date and ensure that these are correctly applied.”
FDS Consult UK’s last event was attended by more than 40 architecture professionals, 92.5% of whom rated the seminar as extremely or very useful in post event evaluation forms.
The CPD Seminar, Fire Design and Building Regulations Compliance, will be held on 14th October at the Building Centre in central London. For more information and to register please visit www.fdsconsultuk.com/cpd or call 01322 387 411.
