Following the success of their last seminar, FDS Consult UK will once again team up with NHBC to present a free CPD for architects and consultants that will outline the applications and benefits of fire engineering, its role in relation to the building life cycle and achieving building regulations compliance.
The seminar will also discuss the often under-considered area of Building Management post-handover including RRO (Regulatory Reform Order) and ongoing Management Strategies.
Comments FDS Consult UK’s co-managing director, Andy Riley: “Our seminars are consistently over-subscribed as architects are now realising to a greater degree how fire engineering can benefit a scheme in terms of achieving creative designs, maximising space and minimising costs, whilst achieving all the necessary approvals”.
Diane Marshall, NHBC’s Group Head of Building Control said: “We are delighted to support this seminar. Fire safety should be at the forefront in any design, and advances in fire engineering techniques mean that it is essential for the industry to keep up to date and ensure that these are correctly applied.”
Through the use of case study examples FDS Consult UK and NHBC will demonstrate how to use fire engineering solutions to assist in realising architectural ambitions and reduce costs without compromising safety, within residential, mixed use and commercial applications.
The seminar is being held on April 6th 2011 at The Building Centre in London.
