FDS Consult UK were appointed to complete the fire strategy, management strategy and fire risk assessment for award winning residential scheme, Roden Court.
Situated in Crouch End, FDS Consult UK worked alongside main contractor Galliford Try, on the 136 unit scheme. The fire engineering specialists were able to overcome a specific challenge to the residential care home, part of Phase 2 Block B, by justifying extended travel distances using a combination of mechanical and natural smoke venting to the lower floors, and on the upper floors where the travel distances were code compliant, a natural smoke shaft is used to vent the corridor.
